...It looks like a nutcracker and releases absolutely every hard-to-reach muscle in the neck, so it seemed fitting. I think the last time my neck felt this loose and limber I was a fetus. Do yourself a favour and get the sprocket as well, because I'm honestly convinced that there is no muscle that that bad boy can't reach. I'm probably gonna buy a second one, just to see what other tight muscles I can discover with twice the squeeze!
The torque generated by this thing is nuts (no pun intended haha), I have never found an easier way of self-administering deep tissue massage in a more comfortable way than with the pso-stick combo and sprocket together, and I have nearly every massage/physio product on the market. It's a great combo for people who like to massage while on the couch, or maybe for those who have a hard time getting into certain positions for other massage tools because it requires nearly no effort to generate a ton of torque in a ton of positions, and you don't need to be on a hard surface or angle your body uncomfortably to get the deepest levels of pressure.
Personally, I'm always looking for very deep tissue release, and I'm realizing that since I'm not very large, my body weight alone wasn't enough to allow the fullest, fastest release of my neck using the pso-neck alone. I didn't realize this at the time - I always felt incredible after using it compared to before, but it wasn't until I tried out the neck-cracker here that I realized how much more release was possible for me with access to deeper pressure. My husband didn't notice as much of a difference in results as I did, but he's also much larger and doesn't carry a lot of tension in general.
I think that people will probably also appreciate the versatility of the sticks, since it's so easy to re-arrange the beads into different configurations. Personally, I don't tend to change it much and keep a sprocket toward the very end of one stick, so I can use a single stick and get some incredible leverage deep into the large muscle groups of the body. I often switch between using a single stick with sprocket and both sticks with connector (with or without sprocket). Because of the way that the beads and sprockets are designed to be pulled apart in order to be able to release the handles and access the bar, sometimes the abnormal angle and immense pressure at which I use the sprocket with single stick causes the handle to loosen a bit as I use it (keep in mind I am seriously brutal with my massage tools lol, and this is also happening because I like to use the sprocket at the very end of the bar and apply sideways pressure). But even that 'me-problem' had a simple fix - I put a small strip of removable washi tape around the ends of the bar, and now no matter how much abuse I put it through, those handles aren't budging (warning though - this was extreme, I sometimes need assistance to remove them now lol).
I'm so glad to have this one in my collection. I have SO MANY massage tools and Pso-Rite is the only company where I now own every single product they make and every single one has also made its way to the small travel bag of essentials that I take with me everywhere. The whole bag is basically filled with all of my Pso-Rite products and a handful of other things I managed to squeeze in there lol. They also have the best customer service of any company I've ever experienced in my life - world class, white glove, personal touch customer service. I cannot stop telling everyone I know about my experiences with this company and their products. Pso-stick combo? Another win ✔
